As a researcher I help health professionals and organizations share knowledge, build relationships, and promote diversity.

I do this by utilizing theories from social and educational sciences to design qualitative research that advances organizational effectiveness and patient wellbeing.

For my doctoral dissertation, I worked with the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine to conduct an ethnographic formative assessment of a health education outreach program. Over the course of three years I worked with administrators and students to evaluate and restructure this activity, transitioning it into a service-learning course that became part of the School of Medicine’s permanent multicultural medical curriculum.

My research interests are always evolving and I love collaborating on new projects. Tell me about a research question you have and how I might be able to help you answer it.
